Are You Making These 4 Workout Mistakes?

When it comes to your weekly workouts are you finding that you are no longer seeing the results that you hoped for? Or is your workout getting just a bit too boring?

If the answers to these questions are yes then maybe you are making these 4 workout mistakes.

1. How many calories have you burned

Focusing on this and only this is something that you should be avoiding. You should be concentrating on how much body fat you burned during your workout, after all burning body fat is going to bring you the hot body that you’re looking for, not how many calories you burned. Every day you should be eating a nutritious natural diet that doesn’t contain any crap, so why are you focusing on calories? Body fat is what you are looking to reduce and by eating the right foods you are setting your body up to do this every day.

2. Eating enough

So you’re eating the right foods and working out but you’re not seeing the results that you want, this could be as simple as not eating enough food. If you are not eating enough food then you run the risk of your metabolism dropping and if this happens then the fat burning within your body will stop. If you are feeling slightly burnt out during the day then start by increasing your food intake slightly (only healthy foods though!). An extra apple with some almonds is the perfect additional snack to crank up your food intake. You should start to see the difference in how you feel pretty quickly with the right nutritional balance.

3. No plan

How can you possibly know where you’re going or when you get there if you don’t have a solid plan? What’s your goal, do you want to be able to fit into that little dress for the summer? Do you want to run a 5k race or have toned abs? Whatever your goal may be you must have a structured plan so you can address the areas that need the most work and how you are going to get to the end point. Speak to your bootcamp trainer or personal trainer to help you get started, always take advantage of the experts that you know.

4. Pushing yourself

Do you push yourself hard enough when you workout or do you workout without breaking into a sweat? Pushing yourself hard enough is important if you want to see good results. If you find that you can only push yourself to a certain point then it may be time to call in the experts. A great motivator is joining your local bootcamp, there you can workout with many like-minded people who generally have the same goal as you. Your trainer will push you beyond what you thought was possible and you’ll finish the class feeling very proud of yourself.
