A Healthy and Happy 2012

We all want to simply be healthy and happy right? Follow these tips and you will ensure you’re healthy and happy going into 2012 and beyond.

Put your health above all else!

Yes it’s important to stay slim; yes you want to look and feel good in your clothes and of course you want to firm up the wobbles but the biggest reason for you to lose body fat and get fit is for your health. Don’t look in the mirror and tell yourself you need to lose weight because of the belly fat; tell yourself you have to lose weight because of what that belly fat can lead to… a whole host of life threatening diseases. Scary but true.

Give yourself a break (no I don’t mean sit down!)

I mean don’t beat yourself up over minor fall downs or even major ones. The trick to breaking a habit is to try, try and try again. Turning bad or old habits into new ones takes time so give yourself that time to adjust, and if you eat a little too much cake or skip your workout once in while then just get right back on track the next day! You can always make positive changes; you just have to really want to.

Go on a detox

This detox is practically free and will help flush out impurities from your body every single day. But what is this amazing detox I hear you ask…WATER! Drink plenty of it every day and give your body the hydration it needs to function at its best. The best detox you can get yourself on is a well-balanced diet, plenty of exercise and enough water. That’s it no ‘detox guru’ to flush your guts out with caffeine enemas, just good old fashioned natural goodness.

Give yourself a chance

If you’re scared to try something new then that’s perfectly human but better to have tried and failed than not to have tried at all. You can only master new skills, meet new people and gain new results if you try. How do you think the term ‘by trial and error’ came about? Give yourself a chance to fail and by actually trying you may surprise yourself and instead succeed. After all, ‘nothing ventured, nothing gained’.

Live your life to the fullest

Be more, think about who you are, where you are and what you do and be more. Take a moment to appreciate the fragility of life and go after your hearts desires. Stop for a moment and look at your loved ones and I mean really look at them and appreciate them. Breathe in everything around you and let your senses show you that you’re alive. Make a list of things you’ve always wanted to do and then tick them off one by one as you complete them. Go and live, be happy and embrace every day and look thankfully on what you do have instead of wishing for what you don’t. Don’t just exist, wake up every day and truly live.
